Home theater systems offer a spatial sound experience thanks to surround sound. The surround sound or spatial sound is created by the correct placement of several loudspeakers in a room. In general, a distinction is made between systems with surround 5.1 or surround 7.1. That means between systems with two, five or seven loudspeakers, as well as an additional subwoofer, which are distributed in the room.
