The ATM should ideally be positioned on top of the respective speaker. In the case of freely positioned floorstanding speakers, this results in a perfect reflection to the listener via the ceiling. In addition to Dolby Atmos, there are also other home cinema formats that contain surround information from above. These include, for example, the DTS:X and Auro3D standards. Besides the familiar information for the front and surround speakers, all of these variants also provide separate height information that can be reproduced with our speakers.
